I Don’t Need You!

This phrase is rarely uttered because it’s considered rude, but it’s the essence or primary cause of every rejection and/or relationship failure.

  • The BOD and C-Level fired?
  • Job applications unanswered?
  • Products/services unsold?
  • Poor? Failed? Bankrupt? Heartbroken? Divorced?

Just name any case of rejection and/or relationship failure, and you’ll find the primary reason: I DON’T NEED YOU!

That reason could be fact, opinion, or even misperception. People reject you because they consider YOU LESS/USELESS; at least the benefits you offer are less than what they have to give in return. So the response is to reject you!

It’s not cruel or selfish; it’s simply human, even animalistic, and divine. In the animal kingdom (Giant Pandas, Hamsters, Bears, Hornbills, Pigs, Dogs, Cats, etc.), the phenomenon of selecting, discarding, or even killing newborns is known as selective infanticide or filial cannibalism.

In divine affairs, there are promises and threats of Heaven and Hell.

If a person is intelligent enough, wise enough, and courageous enough, they will understand that, not just in interpersonal relationships or business, life is indeed TRANSACTIONAL based on the WIIIFM Rule (What Is In It For Me), nothing personal.

If you are considered useful and profitable, people will say “I NEED YOU.”

If not, they will say “I DON’T NEED YOU!”

Therefore, Johanes Lim’s advice is: Before wasting energy offering or persuading anyone, it’s better to make yourself and your product/service perceived as highly profitable, so that without wasting time, people will rush to you.

That’s why my Meritocracy Management philosophy is simple: ONLY RESULTS MATTER.

I am not a “consultant”, I am “Financial Doctor and Double Your Result Coach” who speaks the language of numbers, action plans, and measurable OUTCOMES.

When I give advice, it is not an opinion. It is a strategic directive based on decades of data.
