Are you regressing or progressing?

Many people I know are making tangible, measurable progress, whereas I am experiencing tangible, measurable regression. Yet, we live in the same country and have gone through similar events—so why are the outcomes so different?

WHY?

WHERE DID IT GO WRONG?

WHAT WRONG HAVE I DONE?

That summarizes the heartfelt lament I received the other night, and here is my reply:

1.         Progress or regression—moving forward or backward in life—is a common occurrence; there is nothing extraordinary about it.

2.         Moving forward or backward is usually a matter of cause and effect; it is rarely a result of mere coincidence or fate.

So, try to find out why the people you know are experiencing financial and material progress.

What are they doing to achieve that progress—things that you are not doing?

If possible, emulate them.

Success or failure, wealth or poverty—there are patterns to these things; if you replicate the pattern, you will likely achieve similar results.

The same applies to you: if you feel stagnant or are even regressing, there is certainly a reason for it. Find out what it is and address it—the sooner, the better—because tomorrow might be too late!
